PM Phuc noted that the two countries had signed a memorandum of understanding on setting up a joint research fund, and promoted cooperation in high technology agriculture cooperation and security-defense industry.

The two countries have good potential for closer ties, especially in science-technology, security-defense, agriculture, training and trade, he said, expressing his hope for efficient measures to bolster cooperation in those fields, thereby fostering bilateral cooperation in a substantive manner.

For her part, Ambassador Meirav Eilon Shahar said that the two countries’ relations have seen good progress, which can be seen through the success of Israeli President Reuven Ruvi Rivlin’s recent State visit to Vietnam.

The ambassador voiced her hope that two countries will open a direct flight in the coming time, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of joint programs between Vietnamese and Israeli businesses.

She also affirmed that after returning to her homeland, she will continue to help foster the two countries’ relations.
