The program will be among activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cuban Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam (1963 - 2023), and 50 years since Cuban leader Fidel Castro first visited Vietnam and the newly liberated zone in Quang Tri province (September, 1973 - 2023).

The contest aims to improve awareness of two countries’ young people of the great friendship and good sentiment between the two nations that the two parties and peoples have built, fostered, protected, and passed on to younger generations and of President Fidel Castro’s sentiment towards President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnam. It also expects to strengthen cooperation between youths of the two countries, thereby helping nurture the special friendship between the two peoples in general and the two young generations in particular.

The contest is open to all Vietnamese and foreigners in Vietnam.

The basic contents of the quiz focus on the history of the two countries’ relations, Party and State leaders of both countries, outstanding contributors to the bilateral ties, and cooperation achievements in all spheres during the two nations’ socialism building and national development.

It also covers knowledge about cooperation between the parties, states, governments, and localities; the nature, people, culture, history, and socio-economic achievements of Cuba; the importance of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations and the signing of the Vietnam - Cuba treaty on amity and cooperation.

The contest will be livestreamed on the Facebook pages of the HCYU Central Committee and the committee’s Board of Information and Education from 8:30 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. on September 14, 16, and 18.

During each live streamed session, the host will read 10 multiple-choice questions, and competitors will type their answers in the comments box within 15 seconds. The one having the biggest number of correct answers in the shortest period of time will be the winner.

Winners of each correct answer will receive VND 200,000 and winner of the each session will get VND 2 million.
