Meeting held in celebration of 69th anniversary of Moncada Barracks attack
PANO – The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, on July 26 in Hanoi, held a meeting to celebrate the 69th anniversary of Moncada Barracks attack (July 26, 1953 - 2022).
The attack marked the new developments of Cuban revolution, contributing to the victory of the Cuban people’s struggle on January 1, 1959, becoming a brilliant milestone in the history of the people.

Addressing the event, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for External Relations Vu Hai Ha affirmed the historical importance of the attack to the development of the Cuban revolution. He also highlighted the solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba.
For his part, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén noted that Cuba has made great achievements in the cause of national construction and development. He also underscored the wholehearted support of Vietnam, noting that it is a true manifestation of the bilateral relationship which is necessary in today’s world.
