Italy’s Order of Merit presented to Vietnamese official
PANO – Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Antonio Alessandro presented Italy’s Order of Merit to Phan Thanh Binh, Head of the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Adolescents, and President of the Vietnam-Italy Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group.

At the presentation ceremony on March 29 at the National Assembly Building of Vietnam in Hanoi, the Italian ambassador emphasized that it is a noble order of Italy for any foreigner who contributes to promoting the relationship between Italy and their home country. The presentation of this order manifests Italy’s respect for the National Assembly of Vietnam.
Expressing his honor to receive the noble order, Binh said that it demonstrates the fruitful friendship and effective cooperation between the two countries.
At the event, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tong Thi Phong congratulated Binh on being awarded the noble order. She highly praised Binh’s efforts and important contributions to enhancing the legislative ties between Vietnam and Italy and the two nations’ strategic partnership.
She affirmed that in any position, Binh will make more contributions to boosting the relationship between the two nations’ legislative bodies.
