Ho Chi Minh City and India promote cooperation
PANO - Politburo Member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan met Ambassador of India to Vietnam Pranay Verma on June 29.
At the meeting, Nhan said that Ho Chi Minh City has cooperated with India for a long time in many fields such as education and training, hi-tech agriculture, information technology, and tourism.
The Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee suggested that India should consider establishing a pharmaceutical research center in Ho Chi Minh City and believes that the bilateral cooperation will develop stronger in the future.
For his part, Mr. Pranay Verma expressed his delight at the development in the cooperative relationship between India and Vietnam.
He said that Indian businesses are very interested in investing in Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, in the fields of information technology, green energy, and pharmaceuticals. He later expressed his hope that businesses in Vietnam, including Ho Chi Minh City enterprises, will invest in India.
