HCM City boosts cooperation with Indian partners
PANO - Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen on September 27 received Indian Minister of State for External Affairs and Education Rajkumar Ranjan Singh who is on a working visit to the Southern economic hub.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen expressed thanks and highly appreciated Indian support and sharing with Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular in the COVID-19 fight.
The municipal party chief said that though the cooperation program between Vietnam and India has improved, there remains much room for the two countries, and Ho Chi Minh City and its Indian partners to develop their cooperation. Therefore, in the coming time, the two sides should further implement agreed cooperation programs, promote cooperation in trade, investment, information technology, culture, education - training, and agriculture, to name but a few.
For his part, the Indian official confirmed that India always wishes to lift its bilateral relations with Vietnam to a new height, bringing in practical benefits to the people of both countries.
He expressed his hope to work with Vietnam, particularly Ho Chi Minh City, to strengthen cooperation in economy, health care, education, smart city building, and green energy.
