Under the theme “Green Future,” this painting competition is part of the celebration of the 10th year anniversary of signing the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement between Vietnam and Denmark, a major milestone, which elevated our bilateral relationship from traditional development cooperation to a full-fledged partnership encompassing political dialogue, green growth, energy, trade and investment and culture.

The competition is open to all Vietnamese students, from both primary and secondary schools. The deadline for submission is November 30th 2023. Winners will be announced and awarded at a ceremony at the end of the school year 2023 – 2024 in Hanoi.

At the launching ceremony, Ambassador of Denmark in Vietnam Nicolai Prytz said that he both honored and excited to attend the launching of the Denmark in Your Eyes painting competition, which has added a lot of values to the strengthening of our two countries’ long term cooperation on promoting green and sustainable development. He is also very impressed with the number of more than 18,000 paintings submitted in the last competition, which shows the high popularity of the competition among schoolchildren all over Vietnam. The Ambassador of Denmark believes that the competition will be an amazing playground for Vietnamese children, not only to express wishes about their future, but more importantly to come up with creative ideas about how people can together create a green future and make our planet a prosperous and sustainable home for the well-being of all.

In this competition, schoolchildren are encouraged to unfold and develop their imagination through creativity and bring their dreams of a Green Future onto papers on various themes, such as environment protection, biodiversity, energy efficiency, green energy, reduction of CO2 emissions, waste management, climate change, etc.
