The Vietnam E-Business Forum (Vebiz 2007) will take place in Hanoi from January 17-18, 2007, according to a press conference in Hanoi on December 26.

Vebiz 2007, under the theme “Enabling business innovation in the post-WTO era”, will be co-organized by the Department of E-commerce under the Ministry of Trade and the International Data Group in Vietnam (IDG Vietnam).

Vebiz 2007 aims to help increase the competitiveness of enterprises and speed up their entrance into the regional and global market by providing e-business solutions. It will also create a venue for enterprises to share experiences and seek cooperation opportunities.

The event consists of two main activities – conference and exhibition. The conference includes intensive discussions on the current situation of Vietnam’s e-business in the post-WTO era, legal framework dealing with cyber security issues, infrastructure for e-commerce, successful case studies and solutions for small and medium businesses, secured payment system and various e-business services.

At the same time, an exhibition will also be held to introduce latest information technology (IT) products and solutions for e-business through 15 booths. Many leading IT firms and banks inside and outside the country will take part in the exhibition, such as ECVN, Techcombank, Vietcombank, Santak, Vietnam Airlines and Lacviet.
