Vietnam has become the number two among footwear exporters to the US, after China, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The market share of Vietnamese footwear accounts for more than 8% of the import turnover to the US this year, as compared with over 6% last year.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, although footwear export only accounts for 25% of the national export turnover, it is necessary to promote footwear export to the US, as demand from the US is growing while demand from the EU has declined.
