VietChallenge, organised by the Association of Vietnamese Students in the US, looks to nurture startup ideas among young Vietnamese around the world.

The competition attracted 80 teams with about 300 young Vietnamese across the globe, including those from the US, France, Italy, Japan, and Vietnam.

Addressing the event, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, Permanent Head of Vietnam's Mission to the UN, said that VietChallenge offers an ideal opportunity for young Vietnamese to introduce and realize their business ideas.

It also instills a spirit of entrepreneurship that could help the homeland’s current modernization process, the Ambassador said.
