Petro Vietnam to exploit new oil fields
The Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (Petrovietnam) has revealed that, between now and the end of this year, it will put four new oil fields into operation, including Nam Rong-Doi Moi and Peal oil fields in home waters and two others in Malaysian waters.

During the first six months of 2009, the group’s total turnover was estimated at over VND120 trillion, 57% of the planned target set for the whole year, while the export turnover reached US$3.5 billion.
It is projected that in the near future, Petro Vietnam will set up two joint ventures in Russia and Venezuela to fulfill signed contracts for oil and gas exploitation.
