Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai on May 10 announced the construction of a nitrate fertilizer factory with an annual output of 560,000 tonnes of urea in Ninh Binh province.
The project will be completed within 42 months at a cost of over VND 11,000. It is expected the factory’s capacity in mid-2011 will be at 1,760 tonnes of urea a day. Its output together with that of Phu My Nitrate Fertilizer Factory and Ha Bac Factory will meet 60%-70% of the national demands for urea.
Located in Ninh Phuc industrial park, the factory, one of the key projects of the chemical sector approved by the prime minister, is seen as a solution to balance regional consumptions of oil and coal.
