The largest factory to produce medium density fiberboard (MDF) in Vietnam was just put into operation by Kim Tin Group in Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc Province.

President of the group, Nguyen Tien Hai, said that the factory, with an investment of VND 200 billion, is built in an area of 24 ha and installed with the most advanced European production line technologies under the standard of ISO 9001:2000.

Under the design, the factory will produce 160,000 square meters of products per year with the quality equivalent to imported ones, but at more competitive prices.

However, its first-phase capacity design delivers only half of the scheduled total output; as future construction deadlines are met the production capacity will increase and by 2015 the production capacity will reach some 300,000 square meters per year, according to the group.
