Workers are installing a rotor of the first turbine of the Krong No 3 hydropower plant.

PANO – The Trung Nam Group has successfully installed a rotor of the first turbine of the Krong No 3 hydropower plant.

The plant, located on the Krong No River in the Central Highland provinces of Lam Dong and Dak Lak, has two turbines with a total capacity of 18MW.

When operational in late January 2016, it will generate more than 64 million kWh per year to the national power grid.

In this area, the group is the project holder of three hydroelectric plants: Krong No 2, Krong No 3 and Dakkegui, which will generate 52MW. The construction cost is estimated at more than VND 2 trillion.
