Forum on promoting investment in agriculture opens

At the forum

The forum aimed at supporting businesses in agricultural production and fresh food; discussing solutions to problems, difficulties, and barriers faced by businesses investing in agriculture; as well as sharing experiences in production.

Addressing the forum, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh affirmed that enterprises play an important role in promoting sustainable international integration of Vietnamese farmers and the agricultural sector. They are the main force for mechanizing agricultural production and supporting the development of household economies and cooperatives. They serve as a pioneer in organizing value-added production chains and a bridge to connect farmers with markets.

At the forum, 250 cooperatives and farmers producing vegetables, mushrooms, rice and fruits signed a cooperation agreement with VinEco Company, as part of the company’s project linking 1,000 agricultural producers.

Under the agreement, the company will instruct households how to produce safe vegetables; collect and purchase products as well as get VietGap certificates and provide financial support for agricultural producers.

General Director of VinEco Company Vu Tuyet Hang said that the main target of the project is to supply safe and fresh food for consumers and help farmers apply advanced technology in agricultural production.
