Chinese products to be showcased in Vietnam
Over 100 large companies from Zhongshan city in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong are expected to display their products at an exhibition and trade fair scheduled to be held in Hanoi from October 19-21.

Over 100 large companies from Zhongshan city in the southern Chinese province of Guangdong are expected to display their products at an exhibition and trade fair scheduled to be held in Hanoi from October 19-21.
They will bring to the exhibition home appliances, furniture, garments and textiles, food, soft drinks, equipment and recreational games and decorative lamps.
Over 1,000 products will be showcased in 167 stands on a site of 5,100 sq. m.
During the exhibition, participants are expected to sign 212 trade contracts worth a combined 1.8 billion USD.
Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on October 9, Zhongshan municipal Vice Mayor Han Zhe Sheng praised Vietnam ’s investment environment and its development potential, saying that “Vietnam is an attractive destination for investors from Zhongshan”.
The exhibition is Zhongshan’s largest ever held abroad, she said, describing the event a great opportunity to boost bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and trade in the context of global economic downturn.
In 2008, Vietnam’s export value to Zhongshan city increased by 9.7 percent.
