A plan to develop the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone in the Central Province of Thua Thien-Hue into an international commercial centre by 2025 has been approved by the Prime Minister, the Provincial People’s Committee reported.

Accordingly, the Chan May Port will be enlarged to 370 hectares, while the Chan May urban zone and trade, financial, information, health, training centers will also be increased to cover a total area of around 1,545 hectares.

As well, Chan May Port will also become a container entrepôt to better serve tourism activities and cargo transportation.
