Just five years later, Viettel Telecom’s pioneering role in breaking the monopoly and expanding telecommunications access helped raise the mobile penetration rate to over 100%. The company continued taking the lead in smartphone and broadband adoption, making Vietnam one of the fastest-developing digital infrastructure countries in the region.
Viettel Telecom has continuously introduced advanced technologies, from 3G and 4G to 5G. So far, it has served over 70 million customers, including more than 10 million 5G users, approaching global benchmarks in 5G adoption. The company has also provided high-speed fiber internet to nearly 10 million households, including those in remote areas, ensuring “no one is left behind” in digital era.
