Viettel Group’s affiliate strives to take the lead in invention in Vietnam
PANO - Viettel High Technology Industries Corporation (VHT), an affiliate of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel Group), is trying its best to help realize Viettel Group’s target of mastering hi-tech defense industry and core technologies to manufacture more products that help modernize the naval, air defense - air force, electronic warfare, and signal forces of the military.
These forces are set to move straight to modernity to meet higher requirements in safeguarding the Fatherland in the current period.

The corporation has concentrated on researching, mastering, and producing over 40 product lines of ten weapons and equipment to equip these forces’ affiliates. These products are produced in line with the combat capabilities of the military, at competitive prices and with high quality.
So far, VHT has successfully developed four types of radar, six tactical, operational, and strategic level transceivers, three kinds of opto-electronic devices, three automatic commanding systems, four military training simulation systems, and various electronic reconnaissance systems. In comparison with similar products manufactured in countries with advanced military science, the corporation-developed products have superior features.
In addition, the corporation has provided 11 products for Viettel’s network system, including the Viettel Online Charging System (VOCS), which has been applied in the Group’s 11 overseas markets.
Furthermore, it has successfully registered 122 domestic inventions and 17 international ones.
In the 2021-2025 period, VHT targets to be the number 1 provider of military equipment in the field of communication and training simulation in Southeast Asia, in the world’s Top 5 IoT and telecommunications network equipment suppliers, and in the world’s Top 10 telecommunication chips and Smart IoT researchers.
