This prestigious award recognizes Bitel’s outstanding achievements in supporting the Government and people of Peru in modernizing telecommunications infrastructure, contributing to socio-economic development, and strengthening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Peru.

On behalf of the President of Vietnam, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, handed over the order to Viettel Peru, acknowledging the company’s remarkable contributions over more than a decade of operation in Peru.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Tan emphasized that Viettel Peru is one of the success stories of Viettel in its overseas investment strategy. Operating under the Bitel brand, Viettel Peru is currently one of the fastest-growing mobile operators in Peru, serving more than 10 million customers and ranking second nationwide in market share.

The Deputy Chief of the General Staff highlighted that Viettel Peru’s achievements vividly demonstrate Vietnam’s deep international integration, with military enterprises playing a pioneering role in expanding economic and technological cooperation, thereby affirming the country’s capability, reputation, and competitiveness in the global market.

Over more than 11 years of operation, Viettel Peru has expanded telecommunications coverage to most remote and underserved areas of Peru; developed extensive digital infrastructure to support national digital transformation; and deployed digital financial, educational, and healthcare services to benefit local communities. The company has also partnered with the Peruvian Government in implementing large-scale social welfare programs.

These efforts have enabled Bitel to earn a strong reputation among the Peruvian people, helping promote a positive image of Vietnam and its enterprises across the Latin America.

Representatives of Viettel expressed their honor in receiving this distinguished award from the State of Vietnam, affirming that it serves as a major source of encouragement for the group to continue expanding its investments, enhancing service quality, accelerating digital transformation, and contributing more actively to Peru’s socio-economic development and the strengthening of Vietnam - Peru relations.
