Present at the event were representatives from 25 provinces and cities of Vietnam, Vietnamese businesses, and the Indian business community in Vietnam.
Speaking at the event, the Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma affirmed that India considers Vietnam an important pillar of the Act East Policy and a key partner in the Indo-Pacific Vision.
According to the Indian diplomat, the economic partnership between the two countries has grown strongly in recent years. However, the level of mutual trade does not correspond to their potentials.
In addition, India is now one of Vietnam’s top 10 partners in bilateral trade and investment relations, while Vietnam is India’s 18th largest trading partner.
The “Meet India 2020” event offered an opportunity for the Vietnamese participants to meet, exchange, share, and connect with Indian agencies, organizations and businesses.
The event mainly focused on information sharing and investment opportunities in pharmaceutical industry, energy industry, automotive spare parts manufacturing industry, smart city industry, and information technology in Vietnam.
The event also promoted the partnership in the field of tourism between the two countries.
