The program is part of the activities in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Viettel Telecom (October 15, 2000 - October 15, 2020).

At the launch of the charity run

The revenue from ticket sales will be sent to “Heart for Children,” a charity heart surgery program founded by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and the Vietnam Television.

According to Viettel Telecom’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Thanh Nhuong, the program not only offers an interesting challenge for running lovers, but also displays Viettel’s philosophy of business and social responsibilities.

The 10-kilometer run includes three categories with different starting times to keep runners safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Professional athletes will start their run at 5:30 a.m. while semi-professional and amateur athletes will begin their run at 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. respectively.

Athletes will run ten kilometers.

Apart from the cash awards, VND 138 million in total, the winner of each category will receive a smartwatch (Garmin Forerunner 45 for men and Apple Watch Series 3 GPS 38mm Silver for women) from Viettel Store.

Each competitor will be charged from VND 300,000 to VND 350,000 depending on their registration time. The collected money will also be sent to the “Heart for Children” program.

The runners are able to transfer the ticket if they cannot participate in and will be refunded if the run is delayed or cancelled.

Participants in Viettel Fastest 2020 are also able to experience numerous new technologies developed by Viettel Telecom.
