Viettel rewards its footballers in men’s U22 football team

The commended players are Nguyen Trong Hoang, Nguyen Duc Chien, and Nguyen Hoang Duc.

At the event, Acting Chairman and Director General of Viettel Major General Le Dang Dung sent his greetings to and congratulated the three men in particular and the men’s U22 football team in general for claiming the first-ever SEA Games gold medal.

General Dung highly valued the sense of responsibility and fair play of the players during the tournament. They have overcome a number of difficulties and showed high determination to contribute to the success of the team, bringing glory to the country.

He took this occasion to underline that over the past time, military coaches and players in not only football but also other sports have played a key role to the Vietnamese sporting delegation in training and competing in all competitions.

During their performances, military coaches and players have always upheld solidarity, boosted friendship, and popularized the image of the Vietnamese sporting sector among international peers, he added.

On behalf of the three honoured players, defender Nguyen Trong Hoang expressed his deep thanks to the local fans for their support of the team, and for General Dung and Viettel for their care and assistance for all of the players.

They also pledged to do their best in future competitions and to win more achievements in the coming time.
