Cyclist Nguyen Tan Hoai wins second stage of PAN’s cycling tournament
PANO – Cyclist Nguyen Tan Hoai of the Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap team fought off stiff competition from his rivals to win the second stage of the People’s Army Newspaper (PAN)’s cycling tournament, “To Truong Son 2017 – People’s Army Newspaper Cup”, from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa province on July 16. He was followed by Le Nguyet Minh from the Vietnam USA Society English Centers in Ho Chi Minh.

The participating teams received heated encouragement from people in localities where the cyclists were riding through.
During the day, the organizers conducted various gratitude activities in Thanh Hoa province. Particularly, members of the organizing panel and sponsors handed over three houses and presented 20 gifts and 25 scholarships to national contributors and needy local students with excellent academic records.
All the recipients were touched while receiving the significant gifts. Le Thi Y, a recipient, said that these gifts were so meaningful to her family in particular and other national contributors in Thanh Hoa province in general as the province has been hit by the second storm.
National contributors in Thanh Hoa province receive houses from the organizers and sponsors.
A delegation of the organizing panel and leadership of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism offered incense in commemoration of contributions and sacrifices of fallen soldiers and Vietnamese heroic mothers to the two resistance wars for national salvation. Along with Petroleum Technical Services Corporation and local relevant agencies, the delegation handed over an 18-room medical station in Cam Van commune, Cam Thuy district to the locality. The well-equipped station is expected to improve healthcare services in the locality which is often isolated by floods.
