Cyclists competing the first stage of the tourney

The annual tournament was co-held by the Vietnam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation and the Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage-Environment Co., Ltd. (Biwase) in celebration of the International Women’s Day (March 8).

This year’s event drew 90 women cyclists from 18 teams at home and abroad and will run till March 16.

Athletes will compete in nine stages, riding 841km through cities and provinces, including Dong Nai, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Binh Duong.

The total prize mounts to more than VND 400 million, including a VND 45 million award for the yellow jersey winner.
