Vietnamese cuisine, culture introduced in Thailand
Vietnamese cuisine and culture will be nudged closer to Thai people through standout dishes introduced at the Vietnamese food week, which is underway in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event, jointly held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, Thai Vietjet Air, and Dusit Thani Hotel from July 16-22, has drawn the participation of foreign diplomats in Thailand, international friends, and the Vietnamese community in the host nation.
At the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Nguyen Hai Bang underlined that Vietnamese dishes have been appraised for their nutritious and cultural values.
They are particularly favored by international friends as Vietnamese restaurants in foreign countries, especially Thailand, are always full of guests, he added.
He expressed his hope that the event will help Thai and international friends understand more about the land and people of Vietnam through its special dishes.
Coming to the event, visitors have chance to see how Vietnamese foods are made and enjoy stellar art performances staged by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
An exhibition showcasing art works by Vietnamese-Thai artists was organized in the framework of the week.
