Vietnam wins first prize at an international photo contest

The photo, “Aspiration” by Hoang Quoc Tuan, won the first prize at the 11th international photo contest 2011, themed “One world for all, overcoming disabilities” and hosted by Spanish National Organisation for the Blind.
The third prize went to the photo, “Cham ethnic teacher”, by Ngo Quang Phuc.
The two above works are among 13 photos by Vietnamese photographers in the final of the contest.
The 11th international photo contest 2011 drew more than 1,400 digital photos by 459 professional and non-professional photographers in 55 countries. Sixty-eight of the entries are from 19 Vietnamese photographers.
This annual online contest aims to encourage the integration into society of the disabled through honouring photos depicting great efforts of the disabled in daily life and social activities, such as studying and teaching, caring for children, playing sports, composing and performing artistic works and so on.
