A poetry collection including autographs, signatures and selected poems of 160 poets in Ho Chi Minh City is to be auctioned at 3pm on February 6 at Miss Sai Gon café (at 90 Pham Ngoc Thach, precint 3). All these poems were written on “do” paper, a special material made from the rhamnoneuron tree.
Poet Nguyen Thi Chau Giang was in charge of designing its cover while poet Nguyen Vu Tiem was responsible for compiling all the poems into a unique collection with the weight of 20kg.
The Ho Chi Minh City Writers’ Association is planning to transfer all proceeds from this auction to Agent Orange victims. The auction is a social activity to celebrate this year’s poetry day.
40 enterprises have registered to take part in the auction.
