The ceremony also saw the presence of Lieutenant General Nguyen Long Cang, Commander of Military Region 5; Major General Trinh Dinh Thach, Political Commissar of Military Region 5; Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Information and Education and Head of the festival’s organizing panel; and leaders from other military units, local authorities, and participating art troupes.

The five-day festival consists of more than 90 artistic acts performed by nearly 500 artists of 14 public art troupes from the Staff Department of Military Region 5, Da Nang city’s Military Command, Duy Tan University in Da Nang city, Da Nang Youth Union, Division 361 of the Air Defense and Air Force Service, Division 968 of Military Region 4, Thua Thien-Hue provincial Military Command, Army Corps 3, Army Corps 15, Naval Region 3, Quang Ninh provincial Military Command, VPA’s General Department of Logistics, and Ministry of Public Security.

Addressing the ceremony, General Nghia underscored that the festival is an occasion to review public art and culture movements in grassroots-level military units in the past time so as to build a plan to foster the performing and composing abilities of troops.
The festival also aims to boost cultural exchanges between armed forces and youths to further build a positive cultural environment.

The participation of the 14 art troupes during the festival shows the solidarity among armed forces and people across the region in building up the people's defense posture in the cause of national construction and defense.
During the festival, the art troupes will also perform in several localities and military units in the region.
