The information was released at a conference chaired by Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet on August 15 in Hanoi.

The festival is expected to draw the participation of 22 professional art troupes inside and outside the military with around 1,540 artists. The event will have 16 shows with 225 singing and dancing performances and six dramas. 

One of the new features in this year’s event is the participation of art troupes from the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Performances at the event will focus on praising the revolutionary tradition, patriotism, the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army and Public Security in the national protection and defense cause; popularizing the whole people’s defense and security building; and disseminating, preserving, and promoting folk arts and cultural identities of Vietnam.

At the conference, delegates contributed many constructive ideas related to the festival’s plan and regulations, information dissemination work, and security protection work, among others. 

Concluding the conference, Gen. Quyet highly appreciated the serious working spirit and responsibility of relevant agencies and requested agencies and units of the General Department of Political Affairs to closely, synchronously, and harmoniously coordinate with units and localities to solve problems to ensure the success of the festival.
