Delegates cut the ribbon to open the press center.

The center was opened to provide information technology infrastructure to domestic and foreign reporters, while managing press agencies’ operation during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, it also receives registration and distributes cards for reporters to attend the ceremony, provides information and images about the event and other sideline activities during the event.

The press center headquarters is located on the third floor of the Dien Bien provincial Cultural and Convention Center.

Delegates tour an exhibition featuring 33 issues of the People’s Army Newspaper published on the Dien Bien Phu frontline.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Phan Xuan Thuy affirmed that the center would create all favorable conditions for domestic and international reporters to report on the ceremony, and ensure information safety and security, contributing to the success of the ceremony in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

After the ceremony, delegates visited the center, and toured an exhibition featuring 33 issues of the People’s Army Newspaper published on the Dien Bien Phu frontline, among others.
