Photo exhibition highlights Vietnam – Laos special friendship
PANO – An exhibition, entitled “Vietnam – Laos special friendship”, opened in Hanoi on December 1, in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the 100th birthday of late Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane.
The exhibition was co-held by the International Cooperation Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.

On display are over 100 photos arranged in three sections, namely the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, President Kaysone Phomvihane – a close friend of the Vietnamese people, and the Land of a Million Elephants in the renewal process.
The exhibition introduces the Vietnam-Laos special relations during the struggle for national salvation, as well as the current national renewal and construction cause.
Moreover, the displayed photos reveal the determination of the two Parties, States, and peoples to foster the special relationship between the two nations.
The exhibition also showcases photos of the life and revolutionary career of late Lao President Kaysone Phomvihane - a great and close friend of the Vietnamese Government and people.
On the occasion, the exhibition displays photos featuring beautiful landscapes and cultural values of the Land of a Million Elephants.
The exhibition is a part of the meaningful cultural activities to mark the National Day of Laos, contributing to enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
The exhibition will run until December 5.
