Military-civilian ties boosted via art exchange
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP), chaired a conference of the steering committee and organizing panel of the 10th Public Art Festival for Armed Forces, Youths and Students 2024 on February 29 in Hanoi.
The festival is one of the art and cultural activities held by the GDP, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024), the 35th anniversary of the Whole People’s Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).

The festival will take place in three regions, namely Region 1 in southern provinces from April 3 to 15; Region 2 in the Central Highlands from May 15 to 27; and Region 3 in Northern provinces from July 5 to 20. In the framework of the festival, participating troupes will bring performances to troops and local people.
At the conference, functional units reported their plans and preparation for the festival as scheduled.

Hailing the units’ preparation for the festival, General Quyet requested the relevant units to closely work together to organize the event and raise their responsibility during their participation in the festival, contributing to boosting solidarity among people, to name but a few.
