Starting this year, the National Book Awards will consist of four prize levels (A, B, C, and Consolation) across five book categories: Politics, Economics; Natural Sciences and Technology; Social Sciences and Humanities; Culture, Literature, and Art; and Children.

The sixth National Book Awards saw the participation of 41 out of 57 publishers with 312 books and collections, making up 435 books. The National Book Awards’ Jury selected notable books for the prizes.

An overview of the press conference

The sixth National Book Awards’ Jury agreed to award 41 books and book collections, including 2 A, 10 B, 11 C, and 18 consolation prizes. The awarded books and book collections have been evaluated as creative works imbued with humanistic values, meticulous scientific research, possessing significant scientific, social, and practical values.

The prize value for the sixth National Book Awards remains unchanged, VND 100 million for A Prize, VND 50 million for B Prize, VND 30 million for C Prize, and VND 10 million for Consolation Prize.

During the awards ceremony, the Ministry of Information and Communications will commend press agencies, publishers, and book companies for their outstanding achievements in disseminating and distributing books, contributing to fostering the reading habit in the community.

Within the framework of the awards ceremony, the Vietnam Publishers Association, in collaboration with the Su that (Truth) National Political Publishing House, will exhibit books and research works by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, along with other important political theory works, and all award-winning books from the first edition until now.
