As part of the exhibition, a play was staged to reenact the life of comrade Pham Huong, a Youth Union cadre who led Hanoi students in the resistance movement and was imprisoned and tortured at Hoa Lo Prison from 1949 to 1950. After watching the performance, Le Van Yen, a student at the Foreign Trade University, expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices of his predecessors. He shared that the play helped him better understand the brutality that the revolutionaries endured behind bars, thus made him cherish today’s peace all the more.
It is no exaggeration to say that Hoa Lo is more than just a memorial site; it is like a book where each page, written in blood and unwavering belief, allows the younger generation to experience history firsthand.
