PANO – New Year Flower Street in Ho Chi Minh City, under the theme “Ho Chi Minh City – Creativity, integration, and development” was officially kicked off on February 5th.

The opening ceremony was attended by President Truong Tan Sang, former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Information Vo Van Thuong, and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City's Party Committee Dinh La Thang.

The 700m long street, from President Ho Chi Minh Statue on Le Thanh Ton street to Tong Duc Thang street, is divided into three different parts, “Solidarity-Sentiment”, “Liveliness-Creativity”, and “Integration-Development”.

Before the opening ceremony, the Party’s, State’s, and city’s leaders laid wreaths in commemoration of late President Ho Chi Minh at his statue.

The same day, the city People’s Committee also opened book streets on Ngo Duc Ke, Mac Thi Buoi, and Nguyen Hue streets.
