PANO – The second National Cultural Festival of H’mong Ethnic Minority People will be organised in October in Dong Van district, Ha Giang province, by the Departments of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the 17 H’mong ethnic minority people-inhabited provinces.

Under the theme “Preserving and promoting the cultural identities of H’mong ethnic minority groups in the process of renewal, integration and development of the nation”, the event includes a variety of activities, such as a pan-pipe festival, performance of traditional costumes of H’mong ethnic minority people, a singing contest, a festival to introduce special dishes of the ethnic group, an exhibition on local products and sports events. During the festival, various cultural activities and rituals of H’mong ethnic minority group will be also reinstated.
The second event aims to honour, preserve and promote the cultural identities of H’mong ethnic minority group as well as give H’mong people-inhabited provinces an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences in raising people’s awareness of building an advanced culture deeply imbued with its national identity.
