The three-week long event is to mark the 61st anniversary of the foundation day of the firefighting and rescue police force (October 4, 1961 – 2022) and the 21 years since the whole people firefighting day was launched.

The event was chaired by Deputy Minister of Public Security Major General Nguyen Van Long and attended by Director of the Department of Political Education and Information under the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc.

Speaking at the event, Major General Nguyen Van Long said that the exhibition is organized to mark the establishment and building of firefighting and rescue police force over the past years and honor their sacrifices. The event also aims to raise the public awareness, responsibility, as well as fire prevention and fighting skills, contributing to maintaining peaceful environment for the nation. 

Apart from recalling the history and achievements of the force over the past 61 years as well as the Party, State, and people’s recognition of their contribution, the three-part exhibition also introduces photos of recent fires and explosions causing huge loss of lives and property and experience programs to equip participants with skills to prevent and fight fires, escape from them, and give first aid to victims.
