The event was attended by Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, Minister of Public Security General To Lam and leaders of ministries, central agencies and Hanoi.

A performance of the art troupe of the Vietnam People’s Police

The concert also saw the presence of international guests, including Bruneian, Cambodian, Indonesian, Lao, Malaysian, Myanmar, Filipino, Singaporean, Thai, Chinese and Japanese ambassadors to Vietnam.

The event aimed to boost cultural exchange among countries in the region as well as to popularize the image of Vietnam and its people, the development of Vietnam’s public security force to the Vietnamese and international friends.

The outdoor concert attracted the participation of eight art troupes, including six art troupes from China, Japan, the Philippines, Laos, Myanmar and Brunei, and two from the host Vietnam.

During the event, the art troupe of the Vietnam People’s Police performed a folk song of China’s Yangzhou, a work by Japanese composer Ikuma Dan, and a song by Vietnamese musician Pham Tuyen. The Bruneian art troupe with 17 instrumentalists entertained participants with Hadrah and Joget Seri Kenangan, while the Japanese troupe brought “Introduction and Allegro” and “Itaru Sakai” to the concert.

At the concert, the Military Ceremonial Troupe under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army entertained the audience with “Xuan chien thang” (the Spring of Victory) and Lassus Trombone works.

Through performances, Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security expected to promote solidarity, cooperative relations and traditional friendship among police forces of participating countries to combat transnational crime for peace and benefit of the people of each country.
