PANO – The Public Security Ministry held a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on August 10th to launch the ASEAN Police Football Open Tournament – Eximbank Cup 2012.
Five football teams of police forces from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Australia will take part in the event at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City between August 22nd and 30th.
The participants will compete in round robin games and the champion is expected to be awarded with VND 150 million in cash and the trophy while the runner-up and third finalist receive VND 100 and 60 million, respectively. Besides, the organization panel will offer other 2 consolation prizes and some individual awards.
The tournament is an opportunity for public security forces to exchange and further tighten their cooperation in fighting crimes and maintaining social order.
