According to the Ambassador, Vietnam has risen from being a country once under embargo to establishing diplomatic relations with most countries worldwide, becoming a comprehensive strategic partner of major powers, hosting large international conferences, and playing a constructive role as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. Vietnam is widely recognized as a reliable and responsible partner. She was particularly impressed by Vietnam’s ability to maintain political and social stability amid global uncertainties, an important advantage in attracting foreign investment, expanding trade cooperation, and enhancing sustainable growth quality.
Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh emphasized that the achievements of the past 80 years have shaped the image of an independent, self-reliant, dynamic, and globally integrated Vietnam, an inspiration for many developing nations, especially for Laos. He also expressed admiration for the Vietnamese people’s spirit of national unity, aspiration to rise, and the sound leadership of the Communist Party and State of Vietnam, key factors enabling the nation to overcome difficulties and achieve today’s successes.

Affirming that Vietnam - Laos relations are a rare, loyal, and special bond in international history, the Ambassador noted that Vietnam has emerged as one of the region’s most dynamic economies with an increasingly important role on the international stage.
She stressed that, as close friends and comrades sharing the same revolutionary ideals, the Lao Party, State, and people always follow, support, and highly appreciate Vietnam’s accomplishments. These are not only a source of shared pride but also a great encouragement and a vital factor for the Lao people in advancing their own national development. The Lao diplomat expressed confidence that, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the decisive governance of the Government, and the unity of its people, Vietnam will continue to achieve even greater success.
On this occasion, Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh noted that this is the second time the Lao People’s Army has dispatched a contingent to join Vietnam’s parade celebrating major national events. Their participation not only reflects the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the peoples and militaries of Laos and Vietnam, but also contributes to educating the younger generations of both countries about the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation that have been forged through their shared struggles for independence and national development, ensuring that these ties are preserved and further strengthened in the future.
