Vietnam Fine Arts Museum helps Laos’ museum restore valuable paintings
PANO – The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum held a ceremony on February 28 in Hanoi to return four important paintings, which had been preserved by the museum, to Laos’ Kaysone Phomvihane Museum.
The four fine arts paintings, including three portraits of the Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castrol, the Soviet Union leader Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, and Lao Prince Souphanouvong and a painting of Vietnam’s world heritage site Ha Long Bay, were gifts presented to Laos by leaders of the related countries.
These paintings bearing historical significance were carefully and scientifically preserved by a center for preserving and restoring fine arts works under the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum under the sponsorship of Dong Do Real Estate Investment Joint-stock Company. All works preserved their original and fine arts values after restoration.
In the coming time, the center’s personnel will help the Lao museum in preserving its exhibits and training its cadres.
