Junior painters at the event

The event, in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Singapore diplomatic relations, attracted more than 100 junior painters aging from six to 15 from primary and junior high schools in the city.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnam-Singapore Friendship Association Vice-President Phan Thi Hong Xuan held that the competition aims to reflect the diplomatic relationship and to foster the friendship between the two peoples. She said that young generations would be the ones to continue upholding, fostering and promoting the fine values that the two countries have been developing over the past 45 years.

After two hours of competition, the jury decided to present two first, four second, six third and eight consolation prizes to winners.
