Vietnam vehemently protests violations of its sovereignty over Hoang Sa
Vietnam resolutely protests against China’s recent moves in Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago which violate Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and complicate the situation in the East Sea.
Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang
Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang made the statement on April 29, in response to the media’s questions regarding China’s organization of the 5th Sinan yacht race in Vietnam’s Hoang Sa archipelago and establishment of an office of the Hainan entry-exit inspection and quarantine bureau in Phu Lam island in Hoang Sa.
The spokesperson emphasized that Vietnam has sufficient legal ground and historical evidence to prove its sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.
“Vietnam demands that China not to make similar moves,” she said.
