Conference maps out tasks of Fund for Vietnam’s Seas and Islands
PANO – Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics and Deputy Head of the Steering Board of the Fund for Vietnam’s Seas and Islands, chaired a conference on December 29 to review the outcomes of assigned missions in 2020.
After being licensed to run, the fund website promoted information dissemination on purposes and significances of the fund’s activities, and information about the country’s seas and islands in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as built the fund project for the 2021-2025 period and subsequent years.

Speaking at the conference, General Phuong acknowledged and hailed other relevant agencies’ achievements in 2020.
He also asked the organ to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to make recommendations to improve the quality and efficiency of the fund, urged them to implement the targets in 2021 and make good preparations for the Steering Board of the fund’s conference in 2021, as well as successfully hold the ceremony to launch the fund in June 2021 and the online conference on Vietnam seas and islands in Hanoi, Da Nang, Tay Nguyen and Ho Chi Minh City.
Moreover, the organ should reward outstanding groups and individuals for their contributions in disseminating information about Vietnam’s seas and islands.
