Speaking at the dispatch ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, Secretary of the HCYU Central Committee Nguyen Ngoc Luong said the visit is made in the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day to promote patriotism among youngsters.
It also aims to provide support to local residents in Truong Sa (Spratly) island district and motivate officers of Platform DK1 who are on duty to protect the national sovereignty, he said.
Luong hoped that the youth would propose more ideas to contribute to the country’s sea and island protection and building.
A photo exhibition on the vitality of Truong Sa (Spratly) and a writing competition on the Truong Sa aspiration will also take place as part of the program.
