At the reception, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed delight at visiting Vietnam again and meeting Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong.

The two leaders then led the two high-ranking delegations to have talks. At the end of the meeting, the two top leaders witnessed a ceremony to sign cooperation deals between companies of the two sides.

This is the second time U.S. President Donald Trump has been to Vietnam. In November 2017, the U.S. President paid an official visit to Vietnam, and attended the APEC Summit in the central city of Da Nang.
