* Almost all of the scenes in the Spanish film “Thi Mai, Rumbo in Vietnam” which debuted in 2018, were shot in Vietnam, including Hanoi. The film is about the journey to find the main character’s adopted Vietnamese grandchild after her daughter died in an accident. When arriving in Vietnam, The main character “Carmen” and her two close friends encounter numerous difficulties and problems due to language and cultural gaps.

With humorous and touching scenes, audiences can find familiar places in Hanoi, such as Chuong Duong bridge, The Huc Bridge, Dong Xuan Market, crowded streets, and sidewalk shops.

* The 2015 US blockbuster Pan shot many scenes in Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh province and En Cave, the world’s third largest cave in Quang Binh province. The film is about the character Peter Pan, an orphan who was kidnapped and brought to Neverland, a fantasy world.

The entrance to the cave was used in the long and fascinating scene of the film. In mid 2014, the film-crew came to Vietnam to film in 3D and take photos of the cave for post-production. Actors acted in front of a green screen and the scene and actors’ acting were matched later.
