Pha Noi village lies at the foot of the majestic Phuxailaileng mountain range, on the boundary between Muong Tip and Na Ngoi communes, Nghe An province. It has long been home to 90 households with around 500 people from the H’mong ethnic group.
For generations, local life has been closely tied to upland farming, livestock raising, and distinctive traditional customs and practices. In recent years, thanks to the attention and investment of the Party, the State, local authorities, and support from various forces, including the Border Guard forces, the appearance of this border village has changed markedly with improved infrastructure, upgraded roads, more essential public facilities, contributing to improved locals’ living standards.

Villagers have actively restructured crops and livestock, boldly applied scientific and technical advances to production, and step by step risen out of poverty toward a more stable and prosperous life.
For a long time, many households have grown orchids and peach blossoms around their houses to beautify the surroundings and help preserve the traditional cultural identity of the H’mong people. Over the past few years, recognizing that cherry blossoms are well suited to the local climate and soil, some households brought in saplings to plant on a trial basis.

At first, there were only a few trees planted in front of houses or along roads. Over time, however, the cherry trees grew well, producing beautiful flowers that bloom abundantly in early spring. Seeing clear results, many households in the village learned from one another and expanded the cherry blossom planting model, helping to beautify living spaces and create a distinctive highlight for the border village.
Head of Pha Noi village Lau Ba Xenh said, “When the flowers bloom, the village becomes much brighter, and everyone feels happy. Visitors from other places come to take photos and visit, which makes locals even more excited.”
