The Colossus of Rhodes in Greece was a statue of the Greek Sun God Helios, erected in Mandraki port in the city of Rhodes in 280 BC. The Colossus stood approximately 34-meter high. The statue was collapsed during an earthquake, but the Rhodians did not build it again because of their belief that the reconstruction might hurt the Sun God. Since the Miracle Park of Ancient Wonders was opened to tourists, Vi Thanh city has become more lively and bustling as people from other localities flock to the city to contemplate the majestic ancient wonders. |
